Thank you for the bug report!
This is an intentional change to make it easier to access things near the
screen edge such as scroll bars or autohiding panels. It does not make sense on
every setup, and you can decrease the strength of the effect and turn it off
altogether in System Settings > Mouse & Touchpad > Screen Edges > Edge
barrier..
