Thanks! Looking at the logs, nothing seems super wrong. I see one remapping due
to XCB_XKB_NEW_KEYBOARD_NOTIFY, with doesn't seem like a lot.

Any chance you could get timestamps in front of the log lines, so that we know
how long everything is taking? E.g., take a look at
https://serverfault.com/questions/310098/how-to-add-a-timestamp-to-bash-script-log
