Apps should definitely revoke notifications that aren't relevant anymore. Plasma does this already in few places, e.g. revoking the "low battery" notification when you plug in the computer. It wouldn't surprise me if there are many more places where it should happen, though. Grouping and collapsing notifications that tend to stack up is a good idea too. I thought we had a bug report about that, but I can't find it. Let's use this for it. In the meantime, can you open individual new bug reports for each instance of notifications not getting revoked properly?
