This issue in particular seems to be a side effect of the switch from the
percent syntax to the bracket syntax for placeholders in the file name. Since
the path removes surrounding non-alphanumeric characters around the window
title placeholder if missing, it consumes the bracket where there would be a
(for example) %ss preceding it before, stopping at the second chacter s. So
either the regex for trimming separators is too aggressive or the substitution
happens too early, before other placeholders are substituted
