I have just found out that, if you remove the overlap between the windows, the
issue does not happen.
So, as I use the IntelliJ windows maximized, what I do now when facing this
problem is place one window on the right side of the screen ("super" key +
Arrow right) and the other window on the left side of the screen ("super" key +
Arrow left). So the issue is sorted-out and I can maximize the windows again
and resume working.
