When you slowly move the mouse to the right, it should be x/0, with x being
pretty small, like 1-5 or so. The y axis should be zero at least most of the
time. Same with up/down, just with the values flipped.

Yeah, the debug console doesn't perform too well with high DPI mice. You can
alternatively run
> sudo libinput debug-events | grep POINTER_MOTION
in a terminal
