--- Comment #7 from Bart Ribbers <bribb...@disroot.org> ---
This is not a VM no, it's my desktop on an installation that upgraded from
Plasma 5. Maybe there is an old config setting messing things up?
And maybe I'm misunderstanding something, is translucent not the same as
transparent? I don't want to see anything of the panel, just the widget that's
on there. I want it to be transparent, and it's very, very obvious that it's
not transparent. I don't understand why you are talking about "hard to notice".

I just noticed on my laptop, which still runs Plasma 5, the setting is set to
"opague". It translates to the same word in my language and I guess I don't
have a full understanding of it but doesn't that mean the opposite of
transparent? Anyhow I've also tried "opague" on Plasma 6 and it didn't change
anything, and neither does switching to translucent on Plasma 5 really.

So to be clear, what I want is the panel to not be visible at all, just the
widget that's on it. So far I fail to see how I can achieve that while it
worked fine in Plasma 5.
