Can reproduce. Looks like in this case it falls back to the
color-scheme-provided highlight color.
This *may* be intentional but I'll agree with you that it feels like a bug.
Gray accent colors are fully supported so IMO it shouldn't fall back to the
color scheme highlight color here.
