We've had many reports like this over the years.

Edmundson resolved the issue with a hack:

dbus has big problems if a process creates two QApplication objects. It somehow
latches onto the first one. And we cannot work around that, we have to have
this probing QApplication instance.
I don't think we can do anything about this from within Krita :-(
