--- Comment #226 from Trent M <twilightinz...@gmail.com> ---
That's my bad, I should have been more specific when I asked for the wmctrl
output. This will only be relevant if you are running Plasma on X11. Output
from other DEs won't be helpful because this bug is only relevant for Plasma,
though it could offer insight to what other X11 DEs are doing with their
desktop windows for multi-monitor. And wmctrl won't be helpful on Wayland. I'm
surprised it works on Wayland *at all*, but I suppose it makes sense that it
only outputs Xwayland windows.

And something else I should have been more specific about is that `wmctrl -lG`
needs to be run while the black screen situation is occurring, because I know
it is sporadic for some of you. The idea is that we want to see where the
desktop windows are located, and if they're in the wrong place, we want to
catch that.

So Greg's output is the one thus far that's relevant to the X11 case. Greg, was
this created during a situation where the black screen issue was happening?
Because if so, we've deconfirmed the relevance of desktop window placement: the
desktop windows and plasma windows are appearing exactly where they should be:
0, 0 for one monitor and 2160, 0 for the other. However, if this was created
when the black screen issue *wasn't* happening, then you have useful data in
the sense that you know what the output *should* look like when things are
working right.
