SUMMARY
I wanted to create the database in a separate .digikam folder in the home
directory. However, when I restarted, it could not access the database file
anymore. It seems to be that Digikam flatpak cannot access any other folder
then the pictures folder. I would like to use the pictures in other folders
too.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use flatpak version
2. Click on import > folders
3. You can only see the pictures folder of your home folder.
EXPECTED RESULT
Be able to see and use other folders from the home directory
