Created 4 virtual desktops, put an application on each desktop, set the system to restore previous. Logout/login 5 times and all desktops had their previous applications on their correct virtual desktop EVERY time. I did not delete the files in .config/session or the file .ksmserverrc. Running the command "ksmserver --version" returned the value 0.4. However here is an anomaly. When I ran "ls - /usr/ksmserver" It showed a size of 16568 bytes as opposed to the size of 163288 bytes on my fedora 35 system. This difference made me go back and check.
