Evert, I cannot reproduce on recent Kdenlive beta 16.07.90. I now that there
was some issue some time ago, as I noticed this myself. However in the current
beta, clicking on a timeline clip correctly brings it to the front as expected.
I'm thus closing this as resolved. If you happen to see this issue again on
your system even with the most recent beta or git master, feel free to reopen
