This is a truism of the current implentation of KDE Connect's SMS interface.

This isn't related to this bug, feel free to open a new bug (I don't believe
there is one open for this)

I can't specifically comment on GSConnect's behavior, but this sounds like it
is briefly losing connection. Possibly due to Android's inherent behavior of
wantonly killing KDE Connect...
