GSConnect still communicates very unreliably around SMS history with my phone,
Oppo (R15) CPH1835. So this issue is not limited to Huawei phones. See my
previous details from Comment #98. My symptoms: 
- The message screen on my computer takes several minutes to populate with
historical message data. 
- If I try to send an SMS from my computer, the transmission to the phone and
sending of SMS can take several minutes, and may not happen at all. 
- The message screen intermittently (approximately once per minute) displays an
error message blue banner near the top that says "Device is disconnected". It
typically lasts only for a few seconds.
