What I discovered is that chromium launcher disappears only if I have 3 or more opened and modified (non blank) tabs. So, for example: I open chromium and have only one clean "new tab". I close it and the icon does not disappear. Then I open it again and create two more clean tabs and close it - it does not disappear.
