Thanks for your report! Kdenlive is part of KDE, uses the KDE infrastructure
and follows KDE guidelines. Even though the UI of GitLab seems nicer and
cleaner, GitLab doesn't have all the features Bugzilla has for bug tracking. If
you want to submit a backtrace or cmd output (like you did) you can past it
into a txt file and attache it to the report.
Kdenlive comes with many dependencies and you're report sounds like packaging
installation issue. In comparison to sandbox packages like appimage, flatpak or
snap the PPA is predestined for install/dependency issues. I recommend you to
try the appimage or flatpak (https://kdenlive.org/en/download/) as they are
both very stable.
However we are of course going to investigate on the issue you reported and try
to fix it as soon as possible, but be aware that Kdenlive is an open-source
project with a small developer team of 1-2 active devs spending their spare
time and we are not able to fix everything we want as fast as we want. At least
we are not aware of all bugs and we need reports like yours to make Kdenlive
better.
