Good Morning,

than I will move the defective iImages to another device.
Than Digikam has to be start effectively and do not crash. Will see.
What I am not understand is that I can open all xcf files with gimp and can
work with it. Why should these files be defective. Is there are a possibility
that I can find out the defective files?

Mit freundlichem Gruß

Ok, if you had a defective HDD, it explains the defective images. Our JPG and
PNG loader can load defective images, your images are probably already
defective at the beginning.

Yes, some of the defective XCF files can still be loaded with Gimp, all
programs that are based on the so-called KImageFormat plugin cannot. However,
digiKam does not crash with these images under Linux or Windows. Nevertheless,
I suspect that the crash with you is related to a defective image.

Perhaps they can narrow down the image that leads to crash.

Maik
