Yes, I used Spectacle. This is just one example, though; as I mentioned before,
I had this same issue with other programs (e.g. GIMP). It seems like there *is*
an issue with Spectacle though, so I will open a separate bug report about
that.
I understand that refresh for recent files is not instantaneous, but as I wrote
it did not update after half an hour which is why I updated this bug report.
I indeed do have a "kactivitymanager" process running.
