Unfortunately 18.12 and older Kdenlive versions are not maintained anymore.
Please try with the current Kdenlive AppImage version 20.08.1
https://files.kde.org/kdenlive/release/
WARNING: Version 20.08.0 has a new project type that is not backwards
compatible... so you won't be able to use older versions to open new files.
