What about concurrent threads? Looking at the USE flags I would say OpenGL is already disabled: kde-apps/kdenlive-15.12.3:5::gentoo USE="handbook -debug -gles2 -v4l" Where is "moveit"? I can not find it in the configuration dialog. Otherwise the RAM is certainly not the problem.
