The mode switch option is disabled for org.kde.plasma.appmenu when the applet
is placed on a vertical panel. For a horizontal panel everything works
properly. Even if I place the applet to a horizontal panel or to the desktop,
then enable single button mode and place the applet back to the vertical panel,
eventually this setting is reset after reboot.
