I just tested this problem with the file mentioned above, it looks like the
problem is resolved. 

I did not do anything explicitly so I assume that there was changes in the
underlying application or libraries between 

I recently upgrade to openSUSE Tumbleweed from early June and the current
version labelled as 20190718-0.

So from my perspective this issue can now be closed. Thank you for whatever you
may have done, and all of the efforts you have put into the suit of
applications.
