Krita version 4.1.7 does have this problem on Windows 10 but version 4.2.1 (the
latest version) does not. Can you upgrade to 4.2.1 and try that again?
Note: When I paste in your short paragraph from Steps To Reproduce, The font is
changed to whatever my browser is using so the change to Ariel has to be done
after this.
