Thanks. I’ll try to install 10.11 and check it out. Apple has been releasing
new OS with little new in them, at least for me, and rapidly growing footprint.
The latest OS is about 6.5 GB.
Coming from Expression, which was sold to Microsoft and then abandoned, I was
so happy to find Krita only to discover it doesn’t run under the macOS 10.6.8
which I have to use on the older Mac. 
It is the last OS compatible with few important older applications (PS CS5,
iWeb, Expression, Freeway) that I use.
Unlike the Windows, the Mac operating systems are free and available for
d/loading. I’d appreciate if you could recompile Krita for the the older
version. I assume it wouldn’t need any other effort, but I may be wrong.
