qtcurve settings are not remembered. After each reboot thay get back to
previous state.
Here is an example. This is incorrect state after reboot:

This is gtk application cherrytree with breeze for gtk2 theme.
Here is how it should look like. Dark background and white text.

Here are settings responsible for this (I think so). But Plasma doesn't save
them.

I suspect that Plasma 5 has general problem with saving some settings, because
there other bugs reports for different elements of Plasma not saving settings:
