Switching between images works fine and the Gwenview program is snappy afterwards, but opening Gwenview seems to slow down. > Do you experience the delay also when switching to that image? No. Switching images works fine once the program is opened. I initially thought it was that image, then I widened the scope to images that were on a 1TB HDD mounted in my home folder as opposed to my SSD mounted at /, but it seems to happen with every image on my PC.
