            Bug ID: 360443
Summary: Kwin freezes -- mouse moves but nothing else does
           Product: kwin
           Version: 5.5.5
          Platform: Fedora RPMs
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: rocketra...@gmail.com

I came back to my computer this morning and the mouse was moving, but the rest
of the desktop was frozen. Mouse clicks did not do anything. No keyboard input
worked, including Alt-Tab or anything else.

I was able to switch to a different VT with Ctrl-Alt-F2. I was able to restore
correct operation by running:

DISPLAY=:0 kwin_x11 --replace

I have multiple (3) monitors.

There were no errors in /var/log/Xorg.0.log, except for something libinput
related about removing a device:

Unplugging and replugging the keyboard and mouse (actually switching the KVM
they are attached to away and then back) did not help. I will attach the
complete Xorg.0.log.

I use the open source Radeon driver (radeonsi) with a 7950 SI card.

Note that I don't have any screen blanking or screen savers enabled because of
a different issue that monitors don't wake back up.

Reproducible: Sometimes

There are more debugging tips in this bugzilla:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=338999 but I needed to get back to work
and didn't try them all. Will try next time it happens.
