            Bug ID: 395499
Summary: Cannot change resolution after installing kernel 4.17
           Product: KScreen
           Version: 5.13.0
          Platform: Archlinux Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: common
          Assignee: se...@kde.org
          Reporter: alge...@tuta.io
  Target Milestone: ---

Running latest KDE plasma on Arch Linux on a Dell XPS 9560 laptop.

When I boot mainline kernel 4.17, I can no longer change the resolution for my
laptop screen under System Settings->Displays. It's stuck at 4k, and if I click
the dropdown and select 1920x1080 and hit apply, it just resets to 4k and
nothing on the screen changes. I installed xorg-xrandr and was able to manually
set the resolution using the xrandr command.

This problem does not occur when I boot the stock 4.16.13 kernel. Under 4.16 I
can change the resolution in the Display settings as expected.
