I have the same problem on Manjaro Linux with completely different hardware
(Intel Xeon X5470, GeForce GT 520 with nouveau through kms) so it's unlikely
that it's Ubuntu's fault, especially considering the timeline of the bug. Mine
isn't as bad, though, and the only place it's readily seen is systemsettings5.
