--- Comment #11 from Méven <[email protected]> --- Git commit 17b2b80af839d065ac79d9bbf0221384084aaaa4 by Méven Car. Committed on 04/11/2026 at 10:52. Pushed by meven into branch 'master'. kioglobal_p: reject the MS-DOS characters in local folders on Windows KFileSystemType reports Unknown for every volume on Windows, so neither CopyJob nor the new file dialog checked a name there. The Windows file APIs reject these characters on every volume. A colon is worse, because it names an alternate data stream: creating "a:b.txt" creates a file "a" with a hidden stream. On Windows, every local destination now rejects these characters, and the message names the file system that GetVolumeInformationW reports.
