As I said, the Mozilla build requests the .desktop name "firefox-dev" and this is properly matched to the "firefox-dev.desktop" file in .local/share/applications. The arch version requests the .desktop name "firefox-developer-edition" and is not matched to "firefox-developer-edition.desktop" in /usr/share/applications. I have no idea why one works and the other does not.
