I used the .desktop file from the Arch package, with the following modifications: changing the executable and icon path to use the location of these files on my system, and change the desktop file name to "firefox-dev" as that's what Mozilla upstream seems to set. With this, I get separate entries in the task manager for both versions, as can be seen in the attached screenshot.
