First I only set KWIN_FORCE_SW_CURSOR, which I think eliminated the cursor as a trigger for the issue. However black screen (just a quick switch to black & back) did still occur when switching windows or opening/closing dialogs, e.g. permanent delete dialog in Dolphin. Then I only set KWIN_USE_BUFFER_AGE, which did not help at all.
