--- Comment #4 from Méven <[email protected]> --- Git commit c8a6ae3753370d4231533f7f15b900ead498d65a by Méven Car. Committed on 19/10/2026 at 11:17. Pushed by meven into branch 'master'. copyjob: give a copied folder the user extended attributes of its source A copied file kept its extended attributes, but a copied folder lost them, because CopyJob creates it with a plain mkdir. Dolphin keeps the view properties of a folder in its home there, and Baloo keeps the tags, comment and rating of a folder there, so a copy of a folder, or a move to another filesystem, lost its sorting and its tags. For a copy between local folders, CopyJob now names the source folder in the metadata entry copy-xattrs-from of the mkdir, and the file worker copies the attributes to the folder it creates. Only the user namespace is copied: the new folder inherits its ACLs from its parent, as a new file does. A folder that already exists keeps its own attributes.
