Cursor image freezes in Arma 3 with Wine Wayland after being hidden and shown
DESCRIPTION
After upgrading to 6.8 when using Wine Wayland in some applications (Arma 3 in
particular) cursor image stuck after being hidden and then shown again.
Alt-tabbing restores cursor movement, but it will freeze again after being
hidden and shown. Worth mentioning that cursor is still moving and can interact
with objects, it just doesn't get repaint.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Run Arma 3 with proton-cachyos-slr 11.0.20261005 and PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1
2. Observer cursor movement
3. Make cursor disappear (for example, entering the game)
4. Make cursor appear again (for example, opening the map)
OBSERVED RESULT
Cursor image will freeze.
EXPECTED RESULT
Cursor image must follow cursor position
