I had a zombie process created for Chromium with no way to fix it other than
restarting the session.
I was trying out 6.8 beta a few weeks back when I saw this issue and thought it
was just testing packages which might be causing this issue. But today I
updated to 6.8 and started seeing this issue again which makes me suspect this
might be something to do with wayland compositor.
I closed Chromium and I saw a slight hang (chromium crashing I am guessing) and
then I couldn't launch chromium again. I see a zombie process:

Workaround was to launch in x11 backend (--ozone-platform=x11) or disable the
gpu (--disable-gpu).
