Menu off top of screen
Menu top over the top of the screen
On this latest rev the menus on the alternate application launcher now extend
off the top of the screen slightly. This happens on any menu that has a
scrollbar and more items than will fit onto the screen. This is new behavior
and this has been working properly in the recent past.
If you look at the bottom of the screen there is a gap that normally has the
menu positioned right at the screen bottom. If this was correct and the gap was
not there then the top menu edge would be on screen. It is as if the menu
itself has been shifted upwards by a half of an item or something close to
that.
Notably Internet and system here for me.
I attached a cropped shot of the menu top and the menu bottom.
I think what is happening here is that as the taskbar height is increased
vertically to make the taskbar icons larger and more readable, the application
launcher sits with its bottom at the top edge of the taskbar when it opens.
>From the way the positioning of menus that pop out when hovered on seem to
work, this raises the bottom of the pop out menu above the bottom of the screen
and then the calculation on the total height of the pop out menu window with
the scroll bar is wrong, and it extends off of the top of the screen.
The pop out menus lower edge should be referenced to the bottom of the taskbar
if they are going to be extending to the top of the screen and be using a
scrollbar.
