Bug ID: 526107
Summary: Clicking below the last line doesn't start the
selection at the end of the line
Classification: Applications
Product: kate
Version First 26.08.1
Reported In:
Platform: CachyOS
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: application
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
If I have a paragraph of text, I can't simply select the entire paragraph by
clicking below the last line and dragging up. The selection always missed the
portion of the last line that is to the right of the cursor.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Type a long line or paragraph. Don't insert a newline at the end.
2. Mouse your mouse below the last line, and click and drag up.
OBSERVED RESULT
The text to the right of where you clicked on the last line is not selected.
EXPECTED RESULT
All text on the last line is selected since your mouse was positioned entirely
below the line. This matches the behavior you would get if there were any other
lines below that line.
