DESCRIPTION
This bug affects not just Konsole (which does not have a stable Windows
release), but everything that uses konsolepart, so it also affects Kate, which
does have a stable Windows release. What is happening is that depending on the
Keyboard layout set in Windows certain characters such as [, ], \, {, } have an
escape prefixed. While it is for one thing possible to enter characters by
doing [ + [char] (this leads to the incorrect escape sequence
<esc>[<esc>[char]) this causes weird lots of weird behaviour of the terminal
and also makes using stuff like vim very hard.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install Konsole or Dolphin on Windows
2. Set Keyboard layout to german
3. Try to type [, ], \, }, ...
OBSERVED RESULT
Characters are not written to terminal
