Two versions of LibreOffice 26.8: native integration vs flatpak
DESCRIPTION
Problem exists on Qt apps, such as Qalculate and the native integration of
LibreOffice. When the panel is set to always show, the region reserved for the
panel in the down position moves the menu up for native apps, but not for
flatpack. My monitor is 1366x768 and relatively small, so reducing the text
size would make it too blurry for me.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Before starting: bug was found on a monitor that is 1366x768
1. Install or check if native version of LibreOffice is installed, specifically
the one provided by distro
2. Check that panel (bottom in this case) is set to "Always show"
3. Open LibreOffice and click "File" or "Tools" in the menubar
4. Install Flatpack version alongside native version to see how menu should
behave.
OBSERVED RESULT
"New" in File menu and "Spelling" in Tools are pushed offscreen when Panel
isn't set to "Autohide" or "Dodge windows"
EXPECTED RESULT
For the menu in Qt version to behave like Flatpack version: shrink menu render
area. Expected results can be found in Flatpack version of LibreOffice.
Probably worth noting that the Flatpack version uses GTK, but I don't know if
that's relevant
