I'm using Kubuntu 26.04, I can put > a URL into the clipboard, select to create a new desktop fiel for an URL in > Dolphin and am NOT able to paste the clipboard content any more. So, that is > what you can't reproduce? It's as easy as that, it never works. One always > needs to copy into the clipboard again with the dialog already open. Or are > you telling me that my version of KDE/Dolphin is outdated and this behaviour > got fixed already? Reads unlikely without any commit targeting the actual > open bugs. The bug was not specifically related to "create new", it was happening on "Hover over" context menu items with a dropdown/submenu, which "Right Click -> Create New -> Empty File" is part of, and that bug as far as i can see is now completely fixed, clipboard remains intact after using the context menu and currently IT WORKS as expected, but it wasn't working before the last time i updated my system, which was like a week or two ago, so you are probably on an older version which still got the bug. My current versions are: Linux 7.2.3 KDE Plasma 6.7.4 (Wayland) cachyos-extra-znver4/dolphin 26.08.0-5.1 If yours are older than this(mainly the KDE and dolphin ones, i don't think the kernel have any game here) most probably that is your problem and you need to update. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
