Hi,
Good job on Photos, I liked the article about it (
https://pointieststick.com/2026/09/06/photos-a-proposed-replacement-for-gwenview/
). I'm reporting this ticket after feeling invited by this paragraph on it:
> "If you find any bugs, sources of UI awkwardness, or missing features
> compared to Gwenview that you actually need and care about, feel free to
> report them on the Bugzilla page."
Reading Krita *.kra files is a feature I like in Gwenview. This way, I can
double-click my Krita artwork and browse them. Other Qt based software usually
support this too: Nomacs, Qimgv, etc...
Krita files are zip with all the data inside, but they also all contain at
their root a mergedimage.png that is a 100% flat representation projection of
the canvas. Useful for other software to be able to preview the file.
