Bug ID: 520517
Summary: Primary screen freezes on startup while secondary
screen stays ok
Classification: Plasma
Product: KScreen
Version First 6.6.4
Reported In:
Platform: Ubuntu
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: major
Priority: NOR
Component: common
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
I use a laptop with an external monitor (reproduced with direct USB-C
connection, and HDMI to a dock + USB-C from dock to laptop). When starting, the
laptop monitor is frozen, while the external monitor works normally.
Entering Sleep and waking the laptop unfreezes the primary monitor.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Connect an external monitor to the laptop
2. Turn on the laptop
OBSERVED RESULT
Laptop (primary) screen freezes. There is only the wallpaper, and the mouse
pointer in the exact middle. No panels either (it freezes before they load I
suppose). Everything else behaves normally: mouse pointer can leave the working
screen (it just doesn't appear on the frozen one), Display Configuration shows
both screens working.
EXPECTED RESULT
Laptop screen should not be frozen.
