So I've been testing a lot of Flatpak browsers after your comment and the
conclusion is that they all behave differently by default and also the Plasma
integration extension behaves differently based on the browser:

flatpak browsers where thumbnail recognition works without the plasma
integration extension:
Ungoogled Chromium
Brave

flatpak browsers where thumbnail recognition doesn't work without the plasma
integration extension:
Google Chrome
Chromium
Opera
Opera GX

the plasma integration extension behaves differently based on the browser:

-On Ungoogled Chromium it adds controls to change the speed of the video and to
repeat the video
-On Brave it just gives the controls to go to the next or previous video and
not to change the speed of the video and to repeat the video
-What's weird is that the plasma integration extension works mostly perfectly
on google chrome and firefox flatpak, it adds the thumbnails from the video to
the media player, it also adds all the controls except the shuffle one even
when it should be available like when you are watching a playlist from youtube,
but also I don't get any audio controls on the preview window of the browser in
the task manager widget.
On Opera the extension doesn't do absolutely nothing and doesn't seem to work

the plasma integration extension works perfectly with browsers that are from
the official repos of the distros, but it seems to behave very inconsistently
with flatpak ones
