--- Comment #10 from [email protected] --- Created attachment 190204 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=190204&action=edit all arrows (In reply to Waqar Ahmed from comment #8) > The buttons around tabbar have existed since a long time and they may seem > unrelated, but they are related as in they work per split. Whether its > right/wrong/should be changed is a separate discussion. not separate, this bug report + discussion is about unasked buttons that use vertical space: (In reply to alanas.00 from comment #1) > Created attachment 189147 [details] > screenshot with buttons > > do you see buttons like in screenshot or is space completely empty? (In reply to Christoph Feck from comment #2) > Yes, I see them, but I didn't ask for them. If I need those, I would add > them to the toolbar instead. not hiding buttons was intentional change (https://invent.kde.org/utilities/kate/-/merge_requests/1980, "don't hide buttons" is in the name) but it was bad intentional change because now there is no way to hide everything between toolbar and big text editor thing I made merge request (https://invent.kde.org/utilities/kate/-/merge_requests/2022) to add "Show Buttons Around Tabs" checkbox and it makes to hide everything between toolbar and big text editor thing (In reply to Christoph Feck from comment #7) > For example, I just found out that the arrows in the Tab bar do not invoke > "Next Tab" and "Previous Tab", but rather cursor movement operations. > These arrows also clash with the scroll arrows Qt adds > to the tab bar when it grows too many entries. I also sometimes confuse Go To (Previous|Next) Location buttons with tabs scrolling (see attachment). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
