properties
Classification: Applications
Product: NeoChat

Status: REPORTED

Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
I have my system wide font set to a monospace font (Fira Code Medium) and that
causes neochat to send all messages as inline code blocks (the ones wrapped
with a single `)
It also seems to happen for other font properties like bold & italic, for
example if i set my system wide "General" font to Inter with the "Font Style"
set to Italic it will send all my messages as italic, if i set it to bold it
will send all the messages as bold etc
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set your system wide "General" font to a monospace font or bold / italic in
the fonts KCM
2. Restart neochat and send a message
3. Check with another matrix client e.g on your phone and see how it has
applied your system font style to the message
OBSERVED RESULT
The message will have your system wide font style applied to it
EXPECTED RESULT
The message shouldn't apply your system font style, only font styles you
applied manually on the neochat rich text editor
