The examples that were provided in this earlier report of the problem show it
much more clearly:

zooming in on a pair of plain coloured rectangles giving a thin border where
they overlap makes it much more obvious than zooming in on a detailed image. I
also found it was much more obvious when rendered at a lower resolution - eg.
for the same test project it was quite clear when rendered at 1080p, but fairly
subtle (though still noticeable compared to the earlier mlt) at 4k.
