Hi Jukka, can you send me the 32 bit raster? I will try to reproduce the error. The message seems to point to org.openjump.core.rasterimage.TiffUtilsV2 class, which in turns points to vividsolutions.jump.workbench.imagery.geoimg.GeoReferencedRaster (ImageIO framework).
