Hi Ede,

hey Janos, i'll answer on the list so everyone can keep track

I would like to help, because the OJ is an extremely useful tool for me and I
can see how much potential it has.

I didn't give up and kept experimenting with starting OJ from Eclipse... In
fact that I need to revise my opinion: the Michaël's links helped bring OJ to
life. But at the same time it is also true that the docs, readmes needs
updating because the world (Java, Eclipse, OJ, etc) has changed since 2006.

What I did, I did well, until I tried RUN the program, because before running, in the "Run / Run
Configure" menu, on the "Java Application / JUMPWorkbench" branch, on the
"Arguments" tab, I must be set the following:
Program arguments: -default-plugins
"d:\eclipse-openjump\openjump\scripts\default-plugins.xml"
VM arguments:
-Djava.system.class.loader=com.vividsolutions.jump.workbench.plugin.PlugInClassLoader

After RUN I got a few error messages (for beantools, gdal, kakadu, TurboJpeg,
etc.), but OJ seems to be usable, I could open some SHP files.
So its Cool!
It is possible that my method isn't perfect, but it works. I hope you will to
light the mistakes and I can learn from them. I will continue to experiment
with OJ. I made a plugin a long time ago, I wil try to add in it to the system.
please check

it hold's some more parameters that should fix your remaining errors. there
will be errors in the log, but these are not critical.

i will document the setup of the helloworld-extension next so you can start
developing your own extensions :)

sunny regards ..ede
